UT2k4 New Clan!

In Unreal Tournament 2004, the first clan that I participated in was 187. I left that clan because they were not on the same page as me mentally about the game (as in what they were playing for, how they played, motivation, etc.). Following the abandoment of the clan I was clanless for some period of time. Eventually I took part of another clan name "pure". They are pretty well known in the UT community and supposedly their roots go back to the original UT. This clan was known for being pretty good I suppose. My personal opinion, I felt the skill level of the clan was extremely average.

I decided to leave pure because they were too inactive. We hardly scrimmed and when there were people on they did not want to scrim, others would rather just pub. In the meantime I had been scrimming 2v2 with Miller from clan Matrix [MTX] a few games. After I left pure they offered me a spot on the team and I took it =). We scrimmed a couple of teams 4v4 and have been very successful, I was actually quite impressed. Against SBP we were 1-1 only losing on Goliath (their dominating map) by 5 frags. We could have won it because we were up by 10 frags with 2 min left but everything fell apart I guess haha. Of course they are fairly inactive, but still I was impressed.

At the moment it is a solid team consisting of Miller, Moyer, HeaT(me), Alg (maybe, he hasnt decided if he is going to join or not). I feel that as time progress and we continue to improve, team Matrix will be a very formidable team and we will be able to compete with some of the top ranked teams. Actually, at the moment I would venture to say that after all the top level teams we are probably next in line. I feel that we can push our way into becoming a top level team and I look forward into putting the effort to do so and accomplishing this task.

game: F.E.A.R.

F.E.A.R is a PC first person shooter (fps) revolving around the "paranormal" (ghosts and such). To be honest, I really do not remember what the story was about, or did I care. Something about some guy being possessed and some girl is all I remember.

The story could have been develop better and could have made an overall better game by creating more atmosphere.

Other than the story the game was awsome. There is a slow motion button that supposedly increases the characters reflexes where everything slows down including you and your bullets, making for some killer effects. The graphics are rediculously good and are very pleasant to look at. At times you will just want to see all the special effect slow motion stuff like ripples through the air and just play the game to see all the pretty graphics.

One thing that bothered me is that supposedly you are dealing with paranormal entities but all the enemies are soldiers that almost all look the same (well at the end there are some weird ghost things but that is at the end). Also, there was no 'bosses' which is a staple in fps, would have been cool if they threw some in there.

Although the game is short (approximately 9 hours), it is a blast to play and it is an experience you will be glad that you took part of.

movie: Mission Impossible 3

Basically, if you want to see a cool action movie, then you will definately not be disappointed. Probably one of the best action movies I have seen since...I cannot remember haha. The action was top notch and exciting. Decent performances from everyone and a killer performance from Philip Symor Hoffman (sp). The story was not the greatest, but hey, the action well makes up for it. I highly recommened this movie if you want to see a cool action flick and to just have fun seeing a cool movie.
